There's really nothing that I could write about tonight that would be genuine, with all of the tragedy that has happened in the last 12 hours. Inside of my mind, there is never a point where I could ever understand the thought process that could compel anyone to act out in the way that was seen today in Paris, France.
I don't really have words. These instances and the subsequent coverage of them are done to instill fear in us, as so much of the 24 hour news cycle intends. But what I've noticed in these moments of horror, is that despite the worst that is seen from humanity, the aftermath produces some of the best. People come together and forget their differences. Help comes from every culture and creed, because underneath all the evil that was put on display, there is an inherent nature of good that exudes from the populace. In every tragedy, good is found not far away.
As 100's died inside of that theater in Paris, which could have been any music hall across this country as well, hope and prayer rose far greater than the depths that their intention of fear was meant to drive into us. I'm going to leave with this verse, which came to mind after all of this nonsensical terror. It's a peaceful reminder that even in the midst of fear, of tragedy, of all that is evil, in Him, we should not be afraid.
