When I took this photo, I didn't have a clue how I was going to write about it. I just knew that I needed to take it, as I see this man, gingerly walking to the bus stop every few days or so. I know nothing about him. I've never spoken to him in my life, but I see him outside of the window where I edit from and today, I needed to capture this moment. Why? I didn't know.
I can't really write much more about this, because my heart is really heavy. Just know that the song "Come, All You Weary" was played last night and as much as it was probably not intended to be an inspiration for this photo, it was exactly what I needed. I think God puts these words, these inspirations, these scenes out there for a reason. He gently whispers in my ear "Take that photo. I'm going to show you why you did, in time." I've got a lot of burdens right now. But I think God needed to remind me that as weary as I am, I need to come. I need to lay down my heavy load. I need to find rest for my soul. And I won't find it anywhere else, but with Him.
